Excellent experience renewing my license!
Online reservation was easy and informative. Reminders and informational texts were also helpful.

The DMV staff was courteous and efficient. I was done in about 30 minutes, including new photo and vision test.
The office looked clean and well maintained. The seats were well spaced and comfortable.

New location on Maple Ave was easy to access. Large parking garage (paid only $3 for parking). Plenty of signs to help you navigate the parking and the elevators are easy to spot. It seems to offer good access for people of all abilities- no stairs to climb and ramp access on curbs.

Expect the Expected....wait that is. Nothing is simple, or quick. I used the Lot for the WP Mall so I could avoid a ticket on the street. Came in at 2pm, left at 3:30. I was hypnotized by the Numbers Board. Hard bench seats, forgot, with my bad back, and when I finally got called, so excited, forgot where to go, lol. I get up to the Counter, guy says wheres your MV Application. Said, my things were looked over 1st when I got here, they gave me no App. He says here, go sit down, fill this out, I put your number back in. Uh, Sir, um, he said prob 10 min. Filled it out. Got called, diff guy. He was nice. Kept looking at his watch though. Hmm. Then he says this costs $____ to complete. What? Nobody told me about more money. It's the State, your not leaving there without paying something. By then, I was numb. Happy Sir? Beans for Dinner again.
I limped out and paid $6 to get out of the Lot.
Cheaper then a $25 ticket on the Street.
The MV is gonna move cause they are bulldozing that Mall. No one goes except for that and McDonalds. 2 Stars because it could have been worse, and 2nd Counter guy was helpful. Good luck!

The pictures below are of the New Location next to Cheesecake Factory.
Ask me how long it took to find it. Plus I already parked in Nordstrom Lot. Told to move the Car to Whole Foods. A ha. Once inside, shoed my Appointment Ticket at Reception and I believe she marked me in. The Space seems huge in comparison to the old location. I brought my completed Application (so I thought)
and was called in 20 min. Got the most pleasant woman who tried to help me inside and out. She then called her Manager who said the same thing but in laymens terms and decided to keep my Custom Plates.
She was more patient then the first and I am not Easy. She gave me two
pages to complete. I found a desk area and conversations with the Security Guards began. One offered to try and take my Plates off. The Screw is rusted to the Bumper. I finished the paperwork, went back to the #20 I believe, and she gave me a wave to get in front of these people.
Place was Clean, Quiet, and couldnt
be more helpful. Whole Foods you must spend $20 to get 2 hours stamped Free.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Service at [New York State DMV-White Plains Location]

Dear DMV Manager,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at the [New York State DMV-White Plains Location] during my recent visit.

In June, I renewed my driver's license at this DMV, but I did not receive my new driver's license until today. It has been two months, which is an unreasonable delay. Prior to my visit today, I called the DMV for assistance because I was uncertain about which appointment to select from the online reservation system. I was on hold for nearly an hour, but no one answered my call. As my English is not very strong, I had to guess and ended up making the wrong appointment choice.

When I arrived at the DMV today, I encountered Ms. Peattie at the entrance. Unfortunately, her demeanor was unhelpful and disrespectful towards customers, much like my previous experiences with her. As taxpayers, we expect to be treated with respect and to receive assistance, not to be made to feel like we are a burden.

Ms. Peattie's behavior made my visit extremely unpleasant, and I question why individuals with such attitudes are employed in public service roles. I urge you to address this matter to ensure that customers are treated with the courtesy and support they deserve.

Appointment easy to make/reschedule. Staff courteous. Check in is only choke point, but it goes quickly. Note WP location only has paid parking.

New location on street level, right next to the Cheesecake Factory. Service was fast and organized. Tip: after you are done buy $10 min at Whole Foods and they pay for parking. Go outside and you can find whole foods right next to it as well. You’re welcome ?

They treated my mom so badly. She was trying to find out when her license was gonna come when they didn't help her, and she was confused but they told her to pay $50 to find out about her license and when she will receive it. They told her she had to wait 2 weeks and when as soon as she got home, she checked the mail and she saw her license. They basically finessed her by making her pay $50 just to tell her she has to wait. Bad service to fair.

Just very unpleasant. Called in for information and Glenda was soo rude. She would not assist and asked to speak with someone else and she would not transfer. She would not let me get a sentence out without rudely interrupting. They need to update their personnel to better assist the public.
Worst experience ever.
